Can I start weight loss medication at my first appointment?
In many cases, yes. Your provider may initiate prescription weight loss medication at your initial consultation depending on your health history and clinical presentation. Lab work is ordered at that visit to inform your ongoing protocol and future dose adjustments.
Do hormone or peptide program patients get InBody scans?
InBody 570 body composition scans are included as part of the Comprehensive Metabolic Weight Loss Program. Patients on hormone-only or peptide-only programs do not receive InBody scans as part of their visit. These can be discussed with your provider if you would like to add them.
Can I combine programs?
Yes. Many patients pursue weight loss and hormone optimization simultaneously, which is often the most effective approach — hormonal imbalances are among the most common barriers to weight loss. Your provider evaluates your full clinical picture at your initial visit and can build a protocol that addresses both goals. Each program follows its own pricing structure.
Are the medications FDA-approved?
Some medications we prescribe have received FDA approval for weight management or hormone therapy in qualifying patients. Others may be prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not undergone FDA review for safety, efficacy, or quality. Your provider will explain what is available and what the distinction means before any prescription is written.
Do you accept insurance?
Top Tier is a cash-pay concierge practice. We do not bill insurance directly. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds. We can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement — contact your insurer in advance to understand your coverage. Lab work is not billable to insurance.
Why choose an in-person concierge clinic instead of an online or mail-order program?
At Top Tier, care is built on data, relationship, and accountability. We use comprehensive bloodwork, body composition analysis, and hands-on provider oversight. You sit across from a clinician who knows your history, tracks your progress, and adjusts your care in real time. This level of personalization and medical oversight cannot be replicated by remote or automated programs.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not bill insurance and do not participate with insurance networks. This allows us to spend more time with patients and provide individualized care without restrictions imposed by insurance companies.
Can I submit visits or labs to my insurance for reimbursement?
Yes. We can provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance carrier to attempt out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.
How do you determine dosing for medications and hormones?
Dosing is based on a combination of lab results, symptoms, body composition data, treatment response, and individual goals. We prioritize the lowest effective dose to minimize side effects while achieving strong, sustainable results.
What if my goals or health needs change over time?
Your care plan is designed to evolve. As your body, goals, or lifestyle change, we adjust your treatment accordingly. Ongoing personalization is a core part of our concierge model.
